Migraine treatment


        The migraine can be treated with the help of fresh grape juice. It is necessary to consume the juice in the concentrated form, without adding water at all. Consume foods rich in vitamin B3 such as: green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, nuts, sunflower seeds, liver and fish. It has been found to be helpful in alleviating migraine pain. Another cure for migraine is the cabbage leaves. Squash the cabbage leaves and put them in a cloth, and then put the cloth on your forehead for some time. When the cabbage leaves become dry, remove the cloth and make a fresh one.

        The lemon peel is also useful in resolving a migraine headache. Make a mixture of carrot juice with spinach, beet or cucumber juice. It works effectively in curing the migraine. Make a combination of 300 ml of carrot juice with 200 ml of other juice and drink it.

        Massage the forehead with primrose oil, this also helps in curing the migraine. This works excellent as anti-inflammatory agent. Try to eat garlic, even in combination with other foods.

        Chamomile tea is another effective method. This help in reducing the accuracy of migraine. Try to take some sandalwood powder and add some drops of water, to form a paste. This paste should be applied on the forehead and let it dry. When it dries, take it off and wash it. You need to avoid direct sunlight, smoking and drinking alcohol, because all these can aggravate the migraine.

        Lukewarm water enema is also effective. It is useful for cleaning the bowls, by removing the toxins from the body and in this way preventing the migraine. Migraine treatment includes therapies that may involve medications or not.

Non-medications therapies

        The therapy which does not involve medications provides symptomatic and preventative therapy. Use ice, biofeedback, and relaxation methods can be useful in stopping an attack once it started. The sleep can be the best treatment.

        For patients to prevent the migraine, they need to make some life changes. If you want to prevent the migraine try to avoid the factors that can cause the migraine such as: smoking and avoiding certain foods especially those that contain increase tyramine like sharp cheeses or those containing sulphites or nitrates like nuts or pressed meats. Accupuncture is also suggested to be a useful therapy.

Migraine treatment with medications

        There are two big classes of analgesics used in migraine treatment: acetaminophen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Acetaminophen is useful in reducing the pain and fever through acting on the pain centers in the brain. The acetaminophen can cause liver damage in high doses. Acetaminophen should not be taken frequently or in high doses also than recommended on the package label.

        The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are helpful in reducing the inflammation that causes the pain. For feeling their effects you need hours or even days. Even though they are valuable in migraine treatment for reducing inflammation, they also have potentially side effects, especially when used long term.
